News and Updates
Follow us as we move forward in our vision to grow The Citrus Tree into a larger Market and Grill.

Humble Beginnings
Ohioans, Terry and Jacob Diefenbacher (father and son) opened The Citrus Tree Roadside Market in 2016 on Corbett Road at the Corbett Road-Winton Road intersection in Springfield Township, Ohio. They have enjoyed running the local fruit and vegetable stand so much that they decided to expand into a produce market and grill.
What’s Next
Our phase 2 plan will consist of a Market and Grill. This will enable our customers to come shop for even more fresh homegrown produce, and enjoy a fantastic meal that will be truly farm to table.

Phase 1 Ground breaking
May 2018: Ground breaking begins. Building foundation soon followed with increasing anticipation of our first day in our new building.

Framing
With the framing underway, we were busy at The Citrus Tree farms tending to our famous homegrown tomatoes.

Walls
July 2018: Walls are set and bolted to the foundation. Plans to expand our product line are in process.

Roof
With the arrival of the trusses, it became clear that the finished product was beginning to take shape. Laying out the parking configuration for our customers was an important issue.

Insulation
August 2018: The building was designed with heavy insulation to provide the ideal environment for an outdoor produce market. The building keep our customers comfortable and the produce fresh.

Phase 1 Complete
September 2018: The phase 1 building is completed. We are excited about serving our customer out of our new facility in 2019. Plans are already underway for our phase 2 expansion.
